Corporate Volunteer Day

The weather gods were kind to us for our last Corporate Volunteer Day of the year, after a scorching 39°C the previous week, I woke on 29th Nov to cooling rain and a cloudy 25°C day perfect weather for a busy day of gardening. As usual a great deal was achieved, a heap of work in the compost area, the wicking beds beside the yellow gazebo finally finished and Heather has since planted one with peanuts, weeding, always weeding, gate painting and fence oiling. Work around the fruit trees and finally some tools sharpened.

Thank you to team Rio Tinto for all the hard work done and Volunteering WA for catering so magnificently – great lunch and morning tea, also to Emma, Trish, Elsie, Sue & Emily for taking time out from their days to help. These are always fun days, that are well catered and achieve huge amounts of work, members are always welcome to join.
