By the time we arrived it had become a desolate weedy neglected space.\u00a0\u00a0 The year was mostly spent in planning and organisation set up.<\/p>\r\n

Our workshop event was on Biochar and it\u2019s importance to our soil & combating climate change.<\/p>\r\n
The winter of 2013 saw a small army of dedicated volunteers begin building what was to become our vibrant, urban Community Garden.<\/p>\r\n
<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n
By October we were ready for our formal Open Day offering memberships to the garden.<\/p>\r\n

2014<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Over 25 fruit trees were planted around a\u00a0Josh Byrne\u00a0designed swale.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\tOur patio was built which is now used extensively by everybody, including the general community<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The frog pond was also constructed.<\/p>\r\n

Caf\u00e9 Capture composting project began, this project ran for a year.<\/p>\r\n

Collaborate with City of Vincent & Vincent Community Shed to build planter boxes for placement around Vincent.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Volunteers at the garden participated in 6006 in the Park.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Our gardeners toured other Community Gardens to get new ideas including our shade project in 2017.<\/p>\r\n

The first stage of our shade project begins to provide Summer shade over all our plots.<\/p>\r\n
